Dactylioceras ammonites cut in two polished from England
Lower Jurassic (approximately 180 million years old) Dactylioceras cf. commune ammonites. The ammonite fossil originates from North Yorkshire, England. Both cut surfaces of the bisected ammonite are polished. The other sides are in a natural state. The inside of the ammonite is filled with calcite and pyrite minerals. The size of the ammonite stone is about 76 mm x 68 mm x 41 mm. Weight approx: 279 grams + packaging.
