Partial maxilla of Pleistocene Elephas antiquus (formerly: Palaeoloxodon antiquus) showing 1 whole tooth. The Elephas fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Győr-Moson-Sporon county in Hungary. The dimensions of the maxilla are approx. length 236 mm, height 242 mm, width 122 mm. The length of the tooth is 250 mm. The weight of the maxilla is approx. 4825 grams + packaging. The surface of the fossil is preserved with PVB (Mowital). The drying cracks are filled with cyanoacrylate.
