Eocen Numulites millecaput from Pusztavám SOLD (EO) 08
Eocene-aged (about 37-56 million years old) fossil of a giant unicellular (foraminifera) called Numulites millecaput on bedrock. The fossil surfaced during opencast coal mining in Hungary near Pusztavám. The size of the numulites is about 47 mm. Weight approx: 19 grams + packaging. On one side of the fossil is the Eocene limestone with other tiny foraminifera.
