Eocene aged (approx: 45-50 million years old) Schizaster globulus sea urchin fossil on bedrock.
A small part of Schizaster perfectly prepared complete one is in the original bedrock.
The peel which became calcit, local natural cracks are visible in some places.
Sea urchin has surfaced in Hungary, Bakony-hegység, near Kincsesbánya, during bauxite mining.
Sea urchin with base rock is about: 50 mm x 51 mm x 28 mm. It weighs about: 55 grams + packing.
