Halichoerus grypus partial axis vertebra Grey Seal
Halichoerus grypus (gray seal) is a partial (axis) second cervical vertebra. The vertebral remains from the North Sea near the Netherlands were trapped in trawl. The calcareous skeletons of the living creatures (bryozoas) can be seen on the vertebral surface. The size of the vertebrae is about 54 mm x 56 mm x 45.5 mm. Weight: 36 grams + packaging. the residual surface of the seal is preserved with Collal adhesive.
