Mammuthus meridionalis partial femur bone (6,4 Kg)
The bones of the partial femur (thigh) of Mammuthus meridionalis (southern mammoth). Bone fragments came to the surface during the mining process in Hungary, Pest county. The outer surface of the bone was wrapped around the river bed. This may indicate that formerly chewing gum bones were chewed, and the chewing gum was further chewed on the chewing site. The size of the bone is about: length 368 mm, width 224 mm, thickness 161 mm. Weight Approx. 6.4 Kg. There are many smaller, larger cracks on the bone. The bone surface is preserved with PVB (Mowital).
