Partial Dapalis macrurus from France SOLD (VK) 10
Oligocene (about 30 million years old) fossil of the Dapalis macrurus.
The residual fish site is in Cereste, France. The stone plate containing fish is about 255 mm x 263 mm x 4-6.5 mm.
Interestingly, that the front part of the Dapalis remain fell apart, but the pieces were not thrown away by the river.
It looks like it would have been trampled down the beginning of the fish.
The fish and the pieces on the stone plate are about 185 mm long.
The fish residue is completely natural. Not painted.
The weight of the stone about 549 grams + packaging.
