Rangifer tarandus partial antler & skull (267 mm)
Pleistocene Rangifer tarandus (reindeer) partial antler skull bone. The deer fossil was found in Pest County, Hungary, during gravel mining. The dimensions of the deer residue are approximately 267 mm in length, the largest diameter of the antlers (crown) is 58 mm, the weight of the fossil is about 355 grams + pack. The surface of the antler is preserved with cyanoacrylate. The bone is slightly shiny.
