Turitella sp. from Hungary SOLD (HJ) 02
Eocene Turitella sp. snail (stone gut). The fossil surfaced in Hungary during coal mining in the Bakony Mountains near Dudar. The mud that filled the snail's house was petrified. Over time, the snail material of the snail shell dissolved and the filling remained. The dimensions of the stone containing the snail residue are approximately 79 mm x 23 mm x 57 mm. The residual size of the turitella is approximately 70 mm x 18 mm. Eocene stone Weight approx: 64 grams + packaging. The stone also contains traces of other fossils.
