Knife with a stabilized mammoth tusk handle
Stabilized Mammuthus meridionalis tusk handle Miocene coral inlaid damascus knife. The place of origin of the mammoth tusk and coral used for the handle is Pest County, Hungary. The stabilized coral fossil that can be seen at the end of the tusk handle has been colored blue. The leather case of the knife is designed so that it can be put on a waist belt. The length of the knife without sheath is 275 mm. The length of the blade is approx. 145 mm. The length of the mammoth tusk handle is 115 mm. The weight of the knife including the leather sheath is 445 grams + packaging. It weighs 352 grams without the case. The total length of the leather case is 312 mm. All parts of the knife are the result of Hungarian craftsmanship.
