3 Nummulites millecaput fossil from Hungary
3 pieces of Eocene age (approx. 37-56 million years old) giant nummulites (foraminifera) fossils called Nummulites millecaput. The fossils were found near the surface during open-pit coal mining in the Vértes Mountains, near the settlement of Vértessomló, Hungary. The dimensions of the nummulites are approx. 54 mm, 49.5 mm, 46.1 mm. Their thickness is between 2.5-3.3 mm. The masses of the fossils are approx. 13 grams + 15 grams + 13 grams. Total 41 grams + packaging.
