Alces latifrons partial antler (217 mm)
Partial antler of Alces latifrons (moose). The antler fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the antler are approximately: length 217 mm. The largest diameter of the antler rose is 86.2 mm. The weight of the antler is approximately: 927 grams + packaging. The surface of the antler is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol. A longitudinal crack is visible on the antler.
