Balenoptera sp. partial Whale vertebra (2875 grams)
Miocene age (approx. 4-10 million years old) Balenoptera sp. whale vertebra fossil. The whale remains were collected by trawling in the Westerschelde River in the Netherlands in May 2019. The dimensions of the vertebra are approximately: 238 mm x 141 mm x 166 mm. Its weight is approx. 2875 grams + packaging. The vertebra is not preserved in its natural state, and the remains of recent Balanus can be seen.
