Betula sp. leaf fossil from Erdőbénye
Miocene age (about 13 to 10 million years old) Betula sp. (birch) leaflet. The fossilized fossil was found in the area of mining in the Zemplén Mountains near Erdőbénye in Hungary. The fossilized stone of the leaf is about 80 mm x 68 mm x 22 mm. Weight: about 143 grams + packaging. My leaflet is visible on very hard (opalized) diatomic rocks
