Bison priscus left lower jaw (463 mm)
Bison priscus (steppe bison) left lower jaw. 4 whole teeth are visible in the jaw bone. The bison fossil was found during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the jaw are approximately: length 463 mm, height 213 mm, width 40 mm. Weight approximately: 1205 grams + packaging. The surface of the jaw is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol. Drying cracks are visible on the bone.
