Bison priscus lower left jaw (497 mm)

Partial left lower jaw of Bison priscus (steppe bison). Five intact teeth are visible in the jawbone. The bison fossil was unearthed during gravel mining operations in Pest County, Hungary. Approximate dimensions of the jaw: length 497 mm, height 172 mm, width 49 mm. Weight: approx. 1164 grams + packaging. The surface of the jaw has been preserved with Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
