Bison priscus partial jaw (323 mm)
Bison priscus (steppe bison) partial left lateral jaw. 2 whole teeth (m5, m6) can be seen in the jaw bone. The bison fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Győr-Moson-Sopron County, Hungary. The dimensions of the jaw are approximately: length 323 mm, height 151 mm, width 41 mm. Weight approx.: 846 grams + packaging. The surface of the jaw is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
