Bison priscus partial jaw (419 mm) SOLD (GG) 03
Bison priscus (steppe bison) partial left lateral jaw. 6 whole teeth can be seen in the jaw bone. The bison fossil came to the surface during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. Dimensions of the jaw: length 419 mm, height 112 mm, width 38 mm. Weight approx: 1021 grams + packaging. The surface of the jaw is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol. Drying cracks are visible on the bone.
