Bison sp. partial horn bone (269 mm)
Bison sp. (wood bison) partial antler bone. The bison fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the bone are approximately: length 269 mm, width 85 mm, maximum thickness 71 mm. Weight approximately: 1720 grams + packaging. Sand and gravel deposits are visible inside the antler bone. The surface of the bone is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
