Miocene (Badenian) Clypeaster sardiniensis sea urchin fossil. Clypeaster came to the surface during sand mining in Hungary, near the settlement of Fazekasboda. Clypeaster measures approx: 130mm x 122mm x 57mm. Weight: approx. 647 grams + packaging. A layer of fossilized sand can be seen in the lower part of Clypeaster. The sea urchin was cracked, so it was preserved with cyanoacrylate.
