Clypeaster sardiniensis from Fazekasboda (505 grams)
Miocene (Badenian) Clypeaster sardiniensis sea urchin fossil. Clypeaster came to the surface during sand mining in Hungary, near the settlement of Fazekasboda. Clypeaster measures approx: 125mm x 116mm x 43mm. Weight: approx. 505 grams + packaging. A layer of petrified sand can be seen in the lower part of Clypeaster. The sea urchin was cracked, so it was preserved with cyanoacrylate.
