Coelodonta antiquitatis atlas vertebra ( Woolly Rhinoceros )
Pleistocene woolly rhinoceros (Coelodonta antiquitatis) atlas (first) cervical vertebra. The rhinoceros fossil was unearthed during gravel mining near the settlement of Kál in Heves County, Hungary. The vertebra measures approximately: length 126 mm, height 139 mm, width 347 mm. Weight approximately: 1178 grams + packaging. The surface of the vertebra is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
