Discosauriscus austriacus (159 mm) from Czech Republic
Lower Permian age (approx. 275 million years old) Discosauriscus austriacus fossil. The reptile fossil comes from the Boskovice site in the Czech Republic. When it was found, it broke into two pieces, which were later glued together, carefully prepared and cut around. During the cutting, it was revealed that the stone may have contained several specimens. The fossil was collected in 2009, since then its site has been protected, and it is not possible to collect further specimens. The size of the stone containing the Discosauriscus imprint is approx. 194 mm x 183 mm x 25.5 mm. Its weight is approx. 1685 grams + packaging. The length of the Discosauriscus pulcherrimus imprint is approx. 159 mm.
