Elephas antiquus tooth (622 grams)
Elephas antiquus (formerly known as Palaeoloxodon antiquus) tooth. The elephant fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the tooth are approximately: length 122 mm, height 101 mm, width 77 mm. Weight approximately: 622 grams + packaging. The surface of the tooth is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
