Equus sp. metacarpus bone
Pleistocene Equus sp. (horse) metacarsus bone. The horse fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the bone are approx.: length 245 mm, width 60 mm, thickness 39.5 mm. Weight approx.: 407 grams + packaging. The surface of the bone is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30. A large drying crack is visible on the bone.
