Equus sp. metatarsal bone (273 mm)
Pleistocene Equus sp. (ancient horse) metatarsus bone. The horse fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the bone are approximately: length 273 mm, width 59 mm, thickness 48 mm. Weight approximately: 520 grams + packaging. The surface of the bone is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30. The surface of the bone is incomplete in some places. Drying cracks are visible.
