Halichoerus grypus partial jaw (122 mm) Grey seal
Partial jaw of a Pleistocene grey seal (Halichoerus grypus?). The seal fossil was found during trawling in the North Sea, near the coast of the Netherlands. The dimensions of the jaw are approximately: length 122 mm, height 46 mm, width 24 mm. Weight approximately: 85 grams + packaging. 2 partial and 1 complete tooth are visible in the jaw. The surface of the jaw is preserved with Collal glue dissolved in acetone.
