Harpoceras falcifer ammonite form Ohmden (11,3 Kg)
Jurassic age (approx. 200-170 million years old) Harpoceras falcifer on ammonite bedrock. In addition to the large Harpoceras, the remains of smaller Dactyloceras and Harpoceras ammonites can be seen on the stone slab. I collected the ammonites in Germany, near Holzmaden, in a mine near the town of Ohmden in May 2023. The size of the stone containing the fossils is approx. 620 mm x 450 mm x 44 mm. Weight approx.: 11.3 Kg + packaging. The diameter of the largest Harpoceras on the stone is 260 mm. The fossils are pyrite and phosphate mineralized. Both sides of the entire stone are surface treated with Durol STH 101.
