Harpoceras falcifer ammonite form Ohmden (3046 grams)
Jurassic (approx. 200-170 million years old) partial Harpoceras falcifer on ammonite bedrock. In addition to the large Harpoceras, the remains of smaller Harpoceras and Belamites are also visible on the stone slab. I collected the ammonites in Germany, near Holzmaden, in a mine near the town of Ohmden in May 2023. The size of the stone containing the fossils is approximately: 449 mm x 250 mm x 27 mm. Weight: approx. 3046 + packaging. The diameter of the largest Harpoceras on the stone is 240 mm. The fossils are pyrite and phosphate mineralized. Both sides of the entire stone are surface treated with Durol STH 101.
