Inocerasmus dubius fossil from Ohmden (1126 grams)
Jurassic age (approx. 200-170 million years old) Inocerasmus dubius shell fossils in bedrock. The origin of the Inocerasmus fossil is a quarry on the edge of Ohmden near Holzmaden, Germany. Collection date: May 2023. The dimensions of the stone containing the shells are approx. 259 mm x 241 mm x 24 mm. Weight approx.: 1126 grams + packaging. The shell fossils and the whole stone are preserved with a substance called Durol STH 101, which prevents the decomposition of the pyrite and phosphate minerals.
