Keichousaurus hui (272 mm x 177 mm) SOLD
Early Triassic age (approx. 242 million years old) Keichousaurus hui complete bone on stone plate. Keichousaurus fossil is from China, Guizhou Province, Guanglin, Huxia Formation. The size of the page containing Kechousaurus is approx.: length between 272-267 mm, width: between 185-177 mm, thickness between 15-12 mm. The distance between Keichousaurus's nose and the end of its tail is 200 mm. The total length of Keichousaurus, measured along the vertebral column, is approx. 240 mm. The weight of the slab is approx. 1376 grams + packaging. This is an exceptionally large specimen. Average size of adult specimens (females 14.9 cm, males 16.1 cm) This specimen, with its body length of 24 cm, is 49% larger than the average adult male and 61% larger than the average female. During preparation, the thin stone slab containing the fossil was glued onto a thicker stone slab, thanks to which the fossil became much stronger and more stable. The location of the gluing can only be seen from the side view.
