Komlosaurus carbonis partial footprint fossil (14,8 Kg)
Jurassic age: a fossil of a partial footprint of a dinosaur called Komlosaurus carbonis, about 200 million years old. A piece of positive (convex) footprint can be seen on the stone slab. The Komlosaurus footprint came to the surface during open-pit coal mining in the Mecsek Mountains in Hungary, near the settlement of Pécs-Vasas, about 20 years ago. The dimensions of the stone containing the footprint are approx. 482 mm x 297 mm x 71 mm. The weight of the stone is approx. 14.8 Kg + packaging. The stone is in its natural state, not preserved.
