Lates sp. fish partial jaw from Hungary (39,5 mm)
Miocene Lates sp. ("Nile perch") partial fish jaw. The fish fossil came to the surface in Hungary, in the Mecsek Mountains, near Pécs, during mining in the sand mine of Danitz Puszta. The dimensions of the jaw are approx.: length 39.5 mm, height 20 mm, width 8 mm. Weight: approx. 5 grams + packaging. The jaw is in a natural state, not preserved.
