Lophiodon lautricense partial jaw from Robiac SOLD (VG) 02
Partial jaw fragment of a giant tapir Lophiodon Lautricense of Eocene age (approx. 52-41 million years).
One missing tooth can be seen in the jaw fragment. The size of the fossil is approx.: length 55 mm, height 79 mm, width 37 mm.
The size of the tooth is approx.: length 49 mm, height 65 mm, width 33 mm. The residual weight of the jaw is 132 grams + packaging.
The Lophiodon fossil was found during coal mining near Robiac in France more than 20 years ago. The fossil is in a natural state, not preserved.
