Mammuthus primigenius Woolly Mammoth Hair
Pleistocene: the hair of a Mammuthus primigenius woolly mammoth, between 10,000 and 30,000 years old. The place of origin of Mammoth fur is Russia, Siberia, Yakutia. In Yakutia, thanks to global warming and vigorous collection research, mammoth carcasses are often found thawing out of the frozen ground, the fur of which has remained in relatively good condition over the millennia. I give the mammoth fur in a plastic storage box of approx. 80 mm x 54 mm x 32 mm. The weight of the box is approx. 25 grams + packaging. The mass of mammoth hair is about 1 gram.
