Mammuthus primigenius lower right tooth (5,4 Kg) Woolly mammoth molar Sold (L) 04
Right lower tooth of Mammuthus primigenius (woolly mammoth). The mammoth fossil came to the surface during gravel mining in Győr-Moson-Sopron County, Hungary. The dimensions of the tooth are approx.: length 340 mm, height 151 mm, width 105 mm. Weight: approx. 5.4 Kg + packaging. The surface of the tooth is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30. When found, there was a lot of gravel and sand calcification on the surface of the tooth. The removal of these calcifications caused discoloration on the tooth in some places.
