Mammuthus primigenius m2 tooth (1205 grams)
Mammuthus primigenius (woolly mammoth) m2 tooth. The mammoth fossil came to the surface during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the tooth are approx.: length 152 mm, height 107 mm, width 88 mm. Weight approx.: 1205 grams + packaging. The surface of the tooth is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol. Drying cracks are visible on the tooth. The interesting thing about the tooth is that the enamel of the tooth is unusually thick, and the chewing surface is almost as if it were an Elephas antiquus tooth.
