Mammuthus primigenius partial jaw (7,1 Kg) Woolly Mammoth
Partial right lower jaw of Mammuthus primigenius (woolly mammoth). One whole tooth is visible in the jaw bone. The mammoth fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The jaw dimensions are approximately: length 476 mm, height 250 mm, width 139 mm. Weight approximately: 7100 grams + packaging. The surface of the jaw is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol. Drying cracks are visible on the jawbone.
