Mammuthus primigenius partial toe bone
Mammuthus primigenius (woolly mammoth) partial phalangeal bone. The mammoth fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the bone are approximately: length 187 mm, thickness 80 mm, width 86 mm. Weight approximately: 470 grams + packaging. The surface of the bone is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
