Mammuthus primigenius tooth (1311 grams)
Mammuthus primigenius (woolly mammoth) tooth. The mammoth fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the tooth are approximately: length 159 mm, height 161 mm, width 80 mm. Weight approximately: 1311 grams + packaging. The surface of the tooth is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol. Drying cracks are visible on the tooth. The cracks were filled with cyanoacrylate.
