Mammuthus primigenius tooth (1992 grams)
Mammuthus primigenius (woolly mammoth) tooth. The mammoth fossil was unearthed during gravel mining operations in Pest County, Hungary. The approximate dimensions of the tooth are: length 257 mm, height 128 mm, and width 82 mm. Its weight is approximately 1,992 grams (excluding packaging). The surface of the tooth has been preserved using Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol. Drying cracks are visible on the tooth.
