Mammuthus primigenius tooth (2611 grams) Woolly Mammoth
Mammuthus primigenius (woolly mammoth) tooth. The mammoth fossil was unearthed during gravel mining operations in Pest County, Hungary. The approximate dimensions of the tooth are: length 270 mm, height 174 mm, and width 94 mm. Its weight is approximately 2,611 grams (excluding packaging). The surface of the tooth has been preserved using Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol. Drying cracks are visible on the tooth; these cracks have been filled with cyanoacrylate.
