Mammuthus primigenius tooth (4079 grams) Woolly mammoth
Mammuthus primigenius (woolly mammoth) tooth. The mammoth fossil came to the surface during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The dimensions of the tooth are approx.: length 265 mm, height 158 mm, width 104 mm. Its weight is approx. 4079 grams + packaging. This tooth was collected more than 20 years ago. The tooth shows some old drying cracks. The cracks were filled with cyanoacrylate. The surface of the tooth is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
