Mammuthus primigenius tooth (4133 grams) Woolly Mammoth
Partial lower right tooth of Mammuthus primigenius (woolly mammoth). A few cm of the front of the tooth is missing. The mammoth fossil was unearthed during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. The tooth measures approximately: length 298 mm, height 155 mm, width 101 mm. Weight approximately: 4133 grams + packaging. The surface of the tooth is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol. Drying cracks are visible on the tooth.
