Mammuthus primigenius tooth (4416 grams)
Partial tooth of Mammuthus primigenius (woolly mammoth). The mammoth fossil was unearthed during gravel mining operations in Pest County, Hungary. The approximate dimensions of the tooth are: length 266 mm, height 190 mm, and width 94 mm. Its weight is approximately 4,416 grams (excluding packaging). The surface of the tooth has been preserved with Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol. Drying cracks are visible on the tooth; these cracks have been filled with cyanoacrylate.
