Mammuthus sp. partial tooth (2561 grams)
Mammuthus sp. (cf. meridionalis) partial mammoth tooth. The mammoth fossil was found during gravel mining in Pest County, Hungary. When it was found, it was broken into two pieces. The fracture could not be completely reattached, so it was not glued together. The dimensions of the tooth are approximately: (A) length 161 mm, (B): 87 mm. height (A): 119 mm, (B): 98 mm. width (A): 92 mm, (B): 88 mm. Weight approximately: (A) 1944 grams + (B) 617 grams = 2561 grams + packaging. The surface of the tooth is preserved with a substance called Polyvinyl Butyral 30 dissolved in ethanol.
