Megaloceros giganteus partial antler (232 mm)
A partial, naturally shed antler from a Pleistocene-era Megaloceros giganteus (Irish elk). This *Megaloceros* fossil was discovered in Pest County, Hungary, during gravel mining operations. The dimensions of the antler are approximately as follows: the maximum distance between the two tips is 232 mm, and the maximum diameter of the burr (base/crown) is 84 mm. The weight of the antler is approximately 690 grams + packaging. The surface of the antler has been preserved using Polyvinyl Butyral 30, dissolved in ethanol.
