Meles atavus partial jaw (63 mm) from Hungary
Partial jaw of Meles atavus (an ancient badger) of Pliocene age (approx. 1.7 million years old). The jaw fossil was found in Hungary in Baranya County in 2002 during limestone mining. There are 3 whole teeth in the jaw. The jaw size is about 63 mm x 25 mm x 10 mm. Weight about 9 grams + pack.
