Nummulites millecaput from Pusztavám (64 grams)
2 giant single-celled (foraminifera) fossils of Nummulites millecaput of Eocene age (approx. 37-56 million years old) on bedrock. The fossil came to the surface during open-pit coal mining near the settlement of Pusztávám in Hungary. The size of the nummulite stone is approximately: 74 mm x 66 mm x 14 mm. The largest diameter of the larger nummulite is approx. 63 mm. the largest diameter of the smaller nummulites is 50 mm. The weight of the fossil stone is approx. 64 grams + packaging.
