Pagophilus groenlandicus Seal partial phalange bone (83 mm)
Partial phalange (finger) bone of a Pleistocene seal Pagophilus groenlandicus. The seal fossil was found during trawling in the North Sea, near the coast of the Netherlands. The dimensions of the phalange bone are approx. 83 mm x 20.6 mm x 15.3 mm. Weight approx. 16 grams + packaging. The surface of the bone is preserved with Collal glue dissolved in acetone.
